The boys had another busy and productive day! This morning, after our cursive writing, we labelled the polygons that we put into our geometric overlapping art project yesterday. Ask me what a polygon is! We then build pyramids and prisms so that tomorrow we can examine their similarities and differences.
In Language Arts, we wrote a short story that was created based on a title that someone else gave me. What a silly little writing task that turned into some super creative stories! We then spent some time with Sasha, our guest speaker who taught us about diversity and how to speak to people with disabilities. This afternoon, after Daily Five, we learned about the purposes of the four main parts of a plant and then researched a native plant/tree/shrub to our region of Alberta that we had created. Tomorrow, we will create our plant that we studied and add it into the ongoing project! A few reminders: - we need a box for our Hatchet diorama project please. Anything from your recycle bin works! (shoe box, cereal box, etc). - Alvin Law is speaking with us tomorrow and we are super lucky to learn from him! Please join us at 10:30 in the gym if you can! Thanks so much! Mrs. Carter
