What a great flexible thinker day!
This morning, after our morning routine, the boys began learning about patterns and using t-charts to determine the pattern rule. We created the first three stages of our own patterns and left the last two stages for Mrs. Carter to try and complete. Some of our patterns are pretty creative! In Language Arts, we completed our good copies of our Limericks from yesterday as well as completed a kindness project. We completed a picture which stated two things I can do to make the world a better place. We then went to listen to our guest speaker, Sasha. She comes to us from the Visibility program. Sasha has Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy. She was a wonderful, positive speaker who taught us about diversity and inclusion of different disabilities. This afternoon, we did our Daily Five centres, read Hatchet and then had Gym. What a great day! How did I grow today? - Today we had a guest speaker during our normal gym time so we had to go to gym at 1:45 and we were the last gym class of the day - In Language Arts, we did how I can save the world with my two hands - When the guest speaker came, we did some activities that were really fun and hard. - We had to figure out what kinds of disabilities other students had on a cruise ship - I was the only one in my Daily Five group today - In Math we did blocks, creating Math patterns (T-Charts) - Tomorrow is PINK SHIRT DAY!! - In Language Arts, we also had to finish up our Limericks - We had indoor morning recess
